The need for the Gospel in Czech is significant; communism had a significant stronghold and produced a nation that is profoundly secular and quite skeptical of religion. Some would say that Czech is the most atheistic country in the world, and the evangelical church is almost non-existent. One half of one percent in a country of 10.5 million people call themselves evangelical Christians.
WCC has invested in the Majak Network of churches in the Czech Republic through providing financial resources, encouragement and coaching, sharing resources, sending over summer teams for English/Sports camps, and sending over people for internships to teach English and serve the mission of the church.
