Local Partnerships

Here are some ways that the people of WCC are serving in and around Northern Colorado:

  • A Friend for You
    • A Friend for You (AFFY) is a Christian nonprofit organization supporting pregnant women by pairing them with volunteers for friendship-based support. AFFY offers tangible services such as group events, small gifts, post-delivery meals and gift basket, and connection to local resources.

  • Caring Connections
    • Outreach to local care facilities by facilitating sing-alongs, themed parties, and games with a goal to providing spiritual encouragement and establishing one-on-one relationships with residents.

  • Hearts & Hands
    • Sewing, knitting, quilting, and crocheting projects are donated in the name of Christ to UC Health/MCR, A Women’s Place (shelter), Stork Support, Caring Connections, and other organizations.

  • Orphan & Foster Care
    • WCC participates in the annual Backpack Campaign for kids through Weld County Foster Services, helping give school supplies to children in foster care. WCC also supports families who are fostering and adopting by coming alongside them in various practical ways.

  • The Resource Center for Pregnancy & Personal Health
    • The Resource Center is committed to providing evidence-based information, cost-free services, and practical support to women and families experiencing an unexpected or unsupported pregnancy. WCC joins them through prayer, mentoring, the Baby-Bottle Campaign, and other events and volunteer opportunities.

  • Serve 6.8
    • Serve 6.8’s mission is to mobilize, resource, and connect the local church in order to fulfill its role in a community. There are volunteer opportunities in their resource center, collecting Christmas gifts for children and families, and other ways to serve and connect with local communities.
