Our Mission
To encourage, equip and empower the WCC church family to live their lives on mission in accordance with the Great Commission ( Mt. 28:19-20) as they grow in their relationship with Jesus.
We desire to encourage, equip, and empower the WCC body to engage in gospel advancement where we live, work, learn, and play and to the ends of the earth.
There are countless ways of doing this and countless opportunities that are deserving of support. The WCC pastors and Missions Advisory Team (MAT) are charged with being good stewards of the resources that God has provided WCC, and therefore, we follow these guiding principles when determining how we will invest those resources:
- Relationships. We will invest in relationships. We want to come alongside those in the body who are willing to invest their own resources (time, talent, and money) into a particular ministry or mission, whether that is in Northern Colorado or the ends of the earth.
- Long-term. We want to invest in and alongside those in the body who are committed long-term to a particular ministry or mission.
- Gospel. God cares about the temporal needs of His creation and, therefore, so should we. However, He cares more for their eternal need. Our investment of resources needs to have an ultimate goal of proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ.
- Church-centric. We desire to support missions and ministries that are establishing and/or strengthening the local church and, wherever possible, part of a local church.
- Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit in all decisions will lead us. We are not saviors of the world: Jesus is. We can’t support every ministry or mission’s opportunity and will sometimes obediently pass on good investments, particularly when the conditions in 1-4 above are not met.
Crossway Network
Since WCC was started, we have had a passion to see healthy, reproducing churches planted throughout the world for the glory of God. We believe one of the best ways to make disciples who make disciples is by planting local churches with a heart to reach their culture and people everywhere with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Local Partnerships
We believe that most of our local outreach will take place as the WCC church body seeks to fulfill the Great Commission by making disciples who make disciples. This will happen as we are intentional in building relationships, serving, and sharing the gospel with our neighbors, co-workers, family members, classmates, and others who we come into contact with. In addition, we strategically partner with a few local organizations that align with our mission to see the gospel proclaimed and Christ’s kingdom advanced.
Global Partnerships
We are called in the Great Commission to make disciples of all nations. God’s heart, as revealed throughout the entire Bible from Genesis to Revelation, is for the nations, for people everywhere to call on Him for salvation through Jesus Christ.
As His followers, we are to join Him in this kingdom work by seeking to see the gospel go forth to the ends of the earth, including among unengaged people groups. We desire to send and support those who are proclaiming the gospel and working to establish and serve healthy, multiplying churches.
